Long-Term Recovery Committee Minutes
June 20, 2007

    The Long-Term Recovery Committee met at the American Red Cross on June 20 at 2:00 PM.

Present: Shane O'Neill (convenor), Stephanie Norrick, Joyce Cosby, Jim Morgan, Jim Collins, Mary Blanc. The purpose of the meeting was our semi-annual check-in.

    After some general discussion affirming that we had nothing important to talk about, Mike Labitzke, the Storm Water Task Force projects engineer, entered (at the invitation of Mary) to talk with us about efforts to curb the flooding problems, especially in southeast Evansville. We were all favorably impressed and hope that the projects significantly clear up the flooding problems.

    Shane suggested a second option to Teresa for getting the word out in case of the need for an emergency meeting. Mary agreed to serve as a back-up option (mcblanc2004@yahoo.com;

459-9823 cell, 491-8410 home). Teresa needs to get her mailing list to Mary (Shane will contact). Shane was advised that, when contacting Teresa by e-mail, she should be called first since she gets so much e-mail.

    The next meeting was set for Wednesday, January 16, 2008, 2:00 PM, at the Red Cross.
