David Minks introduced himself, as he is both new to the Salvation Army Evansville as well to the LTRC. Captain Minks’ brings much experience with Disasters & Long Term Recovery as he has assisted with various Floods, the 1987 NWA crash in Metro-Detroit that killed over 150 passengers & crew and 9/11.

Avenues to address & resolve the deteriorated conditions of The Eastbrook Memorial Garden Project [Established as part of Long Term Recovery following the deadly 2005 Tornado] were discussed. Shane O’Neill offered to follow up on this.

Jim Collins has information for those who—as a network of neighbors—want to take a course of training to form a Certified Emergency Response Team.

The H1N1 Flu Pandemic was raised to LEVEL 6 in the month prior to this July 2009 meeting. The September 10, 2009 Meeting will be convened to explain just what this means. [NOTE: I think I came down with this Flu Bug last Tuesday September 1. It was an Aggressive/Dual-action/24-hour Intestinal Virus…NOT FUN but over quickly.]

Hope that you can arrange to attend…

THIS UPCOMING LTRC MTG THIS THURSDAY SEPT 10, 2009 – 2 pm

Thanks –Mary Blanc
